Keeping college affordable is a top priority, and I am committed to implementing policies that reduce financial barriers for students within our community college district. As part of this commitment, I will focus on promoting initiatives that enhance access to educational resources, such as textbooks and online materials, ensuring that all students have the necessary tools for academic success.

Commitment to Fair and Equal Compensation
I am committed to prioritizing our faculty and staff. Building on a historic agreement, we've invested nearly $34 million over three years, ensuring fair and equal compensation for over 2,200 instructors, counselors, and librarians. This commitment extends to classified employees, marking the first substantial on-schedule payments in nearly two decades and a 13.9% increase above the previous contract, reflecting our dedication to equitable support for all our valuable contributors.
